I have two 20" x 20" paintings in progress right now. The one below is of the Donerail Walk in Tramore, Ireland. This will be the third time I painted this scene. I did it once as a 9" x 12" mixed media acrylic on canvas and was so disappointed in it - I painted over much of it. I took out the sunset and I added a sailboat and a light house. If you follow me on Instagram--it's the one I posted - "it's always darkest before the dawn" (a nod to Florence and the Machines). Then I did it as a watercolor which I was thrilled with because I was able to get the sunset the way I wanted it and I was able to get the water the way I wanted it. Now...it's time to go big or go home. 20" x 20" - check it out...what do you think so far? Let me know!
